The nature of our business

Underwater Books was the first established name in the highly specialised field of supplying new, out-of-print and hard to find titles covering the various aspects of historic, commercial and sport diving. Categories include Marine Salvage, Exploration, Maritime / Underwater Archaeology, Oilfield Exploration and the history of diving. In addition, we maintain a good stock of prints, original historic engravings (from such publications as "The Illustrated London News" and "Graphic") and photographs.

Mr Adrian Barak, the proprietor

The business was started 21 years ago by the sole proprietor, Adrian Barak, and both are still going strong! We have always tried to offer a prompt, efficient and friendly service.

The Catalogue

We have a large and established worldwide mailing list, and try to issue a comprehensive catalogue at least once a year. I want a certain diving book, but I can't find it... anywhere!

We also take on a 'Wants' lists and reqirements, and have had good success in locating some pretty obscure titles! So if you have any enquires for titles you require, click on the Requests button and fill in the request form.
